It's really odd, when you think about it.

cryptic, pensive

How quickly people can come and go.

Oh, yeah, I hear ya there.

Friend of mine up and disappeared...shit, what was it? Over a year? Then he comes back jus' up n'outta the blue. Disappears AGAIN and now he's back.

I ain't complainin' though, I missed him.

Yeah. There are some people I hope to see again. It's hard to say whether or not it will actually happen though, but I remain hopeful.

Yeah, they don't always come back...

Had enough of those too. All ya kin'do is hope sometimes. At least ya got that.

Yeah. They say no news is good news, but I'd rather hear that they're okay for sure.

Oh yeah. It's the worst when they don't say shit an' yer left wonderin' if they're alive.

Keep yer head up kid. It may hurt t'let go sometimes, but if they're not cool enough t'at least tell ya they're alive somewhere then maybe y'shouldn't be carin' so much.

It's a harsh thin' to say but it's true. Ya got friends an' people here that care for ya right? So y'should be puttin' all yer heart into bein' happy with them as opposed t'killin' yerself over someone that doesn't give two shits.

I'm fine, I just always do a lot of thinking.

I agree with you, but only partially. Sometimes people leave without saying anything because it's out of their hands, and because there was no time. Things can happen so suddenly at any time. I know they would never leave without saying anything otherwise. I'm sure that if they ever got the opportunity to say something, they would. If they don't, it's probably because they're worried that they've been forgotten, or because they feel guilty for leaving, and things like that, and therefore decide it's too hard to say anything.

I am thankful for the friends I have here, and I find myself feeling guilty for not spending as much time with them as I'd like. I do hope to change that.

If not that, I at least try to stay in touch.

I find that it hurts when I do it too much.

Yeah, yer right, I didn't really consider that end of it. Guess everyone's got their reasons.

I know I'm guilty of not hangin' with people too.

That's good enough in my book. We all get busy and friendship goes both ways.

I guess what matters most is whether or not you try.

So let me do just that, and ask how you've been. So, what's up?

Sounds like the right idea to me.

Me? I'm a'ight I guess, a little twitchy ya know? Been thinkin' too much heh.

Nothin' much happenin' aside of work, gonna try to change that though.

You? What got'cha thinkin'?

I've been pretty boring myself, not much going on. Just work and figuring out school. I try to get out, but again, I haven't been doing it as much as I'd like.

I'm just... constantly thinking. I can't turn my brain off. Believe me, I've tried.

... Eh, how old is that again? 21? I will be 21 in July, if that's what it is. Almost forgot how old I was for a sec.

Huh, so damn close.

Ah well... there's clubs we could hit that are under 21.

Or we could just go to the cafe I guess.

Ah. Man. So close.

People always think I'm older than I really am... I don't know if that really matters.

I'm up for whatever.
