I am really tired right now, but i feel like writing about my college experience thus far. College has been something that i have been looking forward to for such a long time, but now that im actually here at berkeley my perspective definitely has changed. I've met a lot of random people..some who are really awesome...but i havent met a lot of people that i really clique with. My roommate is really cool and I think that we'll get along just fine for the rest of the year...i think its cool that we're not totally buddy-buddy because that makes it so much easier to live her.
The food...is kind of gross...Im already sick of dorm food and that really sucks because i spend liek 15$ a day on just food:-/ However the frozen yogurt at the dining common is superb (hmm strawberries and cream).
Oh yea, and the walking SUCKS. Living at clark kerr complicates the whole walking issue: it takes me 25 minutes to walk to some of my classes. I usually have to walk back and forth between campus and clark kerr at least 3 times a day. It's not so much the actual walking that I mind, but how it makes me so exhausted later on in the day.
*theres construction going on right outside of my window... now theres no need for an alarm clock
*my classes are all pretty easy...i feel like a major slacker. I'm only taking 13 units (thats the minimum) and I only have 2 finals at the end of the semester. As of now, I don't have hw for the next few weeks. My globalization class is SOO boring...the professor is a male version of ms. roth except he is more boring and he wears hearing aids. Environmental science seems like a cool class (but it starts at 8 am)...last lecture, we went outside and played a game. Math 1A is really easy because I'm basically relearning calc ab...I only need one semester of calc so I decided to take the easiest one:p I also enrolled into the wind ensemble but i don't know if i got into the class yet because it's based on audtions...hopefully I will get in or else i will be two units short of being a registered student yikes
*even though clark kerr has the reputation of housing all of the athletes, I havent seen too many athelets. I did meet a football player (whos smart and cute), a gymnast, two crew guys (who are billys roommates), and a water polo player. I really don't know why I'm listing all the athletes that I've met...
*there two super cool people i met at my regents dinner last night...we're gonna cook together next tuesday and have real food (well im not gonna cook but i'll get the groceries)
Some things i want to do with my freetime:
*find a job
*learn how to read and write chinese (i dropped my chinese class because we were assigned to write an essay on the frist week of school and im 100% illerate)
*learn how to cook
*start a club:p
*make friends!
*write pretty letters to people
