this may be quite unintelligent

We live on an island, in the low latitudes.
I live within a small area, on this island that is but a small dot on the map. You do too. Our houses or apartments are miniscule, barely a speck on the map of the island we live on.

At any one train station there are people whose identities are distinct and separate. True / False? Separate, really? We are individuals. (Re-read sentence) I don't know what you're thinking or feeling right this very minute. I could make a guess, though. There are bits that overlap, of course, but how much - and, 'overlap'? Or something more - what? Think 'arbitrary'.

So, how close can you get? where are the lines drawn, or the boundaries, thresholds? how much could you love, and if the answer that comes to mind is giving up your life for someone, can you imagine it, do you think you can reach it? what about ideals - what do you think of them? when you think of the big picture, what is it that you picture? can you make it expand or contract, hold it for a long time in your mind, imagine yourself into it - what's it like? people always on the move, and the ones who aren't, or can't really... hmm. (this is where my brain decides it's going to focus on one thing: sleep)
