The Dance of Dynamic Balance
I got to thinking about Yin, Yang, and how they balance each other. The common perception is that they enjoy their mutual dance, balancing each other's influence in invisible cooperation.
Why would they enjoy it, though? Each is counteracting the other's effect, working at cross-purposes. In stories of having an evil twin, and it's understood that the 'good twin' and the 'evil twin' can't stand each other; why should cosmic forces be any different? I'd imagine that if Yin and Yang met each other for the first time, keeping their natures but not knowing of each other, they couldn't stand each other.
