UMass can go to hell
So, apparently the university has yet again screwed me over. This time it is not about money or some stupid hold that is not actually my fault; but it's my degree. The degree audit report available to students on spire showed I had completed all my course requirements for my major, and all of my general education requirements (art, history, economics, literature, etc). Over the past few days, I was notified I did not fulfill one general education requirement and that the university could not officially graduate me. I was furious, and acted calmly over the phone with people until I realized how they are just robots repeating what the computer screen shows them like tech support losers do. I can't express how hurt I was that they are blocking me from my degree because I need to take a psychology course or something lame like that. We got a case since there has been a lot of errors lately with the dean, but I feel with their sneakiness by blocking students' ability to see their records is a pain in the ass and could ruin it for me.
Worse comes to worse, I have to take an online course over summer and finish up. According to my job recruiters nothing should be affected as long as my transcript shows that I did complete my major. No one cares about the general education requirements too much if at all, so it won't be too bad. It was just a huge fuckin' slap in the face at a family dinner to open that letter and after trying to hide and being caught. My dad's Italian anger has sent him through the roof... really hate seeing him pissed like that cause it doesn't do any good.
I have my job interview tomorrow with Seminex corporation. The make laser products and shit which sounds fun. The name for the company is weird.... Seminex: "Seminex is the widely used abbreviation for Concordia Seminary in Exile (later Christ Seminary-Seminex). ..." That kind of made me laugh because the company is located in this plaza that is surrounded by water and a golf course, which is kind exile-ish? HAHA. I dunno why the president called it that, but hopefully he's not a religious nut because I'm pretty damn agnostic.
Girl situation sucks. I'm meeting these wonderful girls that liked me when I was with Christine and now they are taken. Why are all the damn beautiful, awesome, intelligent women taken? I'm sick of it.
