Window shopping for a runner's high

I woke up early this morning, restless and uninspired. Nothing seemed interesting. Then I started listening to Death Cab. I will definitely have to write about seeing them in concert last April...

My restlessness is because it's been a couple days since I went for a run. That reminded me that I should look for another race to enter. I wish I had kept better track of them. I might have run in "Flirt with Dirt" a "non-wimpy" 5 and 10k trail run in Novi is going on today. THAT sounds fun. Too bad it's sold out, and I already planned to go to The Lake today.

There's a 5k on Wednesday in Lansing--an evening one. But I work till 5 p.m. Heh. I'd be lucky to even make it there on time, not to mention I'd be tired from work.

There's a 5k in Hawk Island Park next weekend, but it's called "Antioch's Get Health Now 5k." Sounds lame, and running a race somewhere I've never been is more appealing anyway. Then again, it would be awfully fun to finish the race and then cool off in that splash park. Hmm...

"XTERRA Bikesport Torn Shirt Triathlon/Duathlon" June 21, Brighton. Oops I don't have a mountain bike! Wonder if they would've let me use the hybrid bike I had in Chicago. :sigh:...

Enough browsing. The sun is up, and my shoes are callin. Today I race my toughest opponent: myself.
