I'm engaged!
I am still on cloud 9. I am going to be marrying the love of my life hopefully this coming August or September.
He said that as soon as everyone started singing me happy birthday and they brought out the cake, his heart started beating harder than it ever has before. He said he was super nervous until he grabbed my hand and turned me around and saw that I was smiling, then he finally relaxed. Man, I love that man.
And the ring....oh man, the ring. That man knows me too well. Well, him and Amy :) He would have been lost without my bestie Amy. Thank God for her :)
I didn't want to advertise this all over facebook, because I don't like to brag, but I have to say it at least here because I can't believe it! My ring has 17 diamonds, is 1.5 carats, and (drum roll please) is a $4,200 ring!!! I know it's not classy to tell prices and all but he sooooo had me fooled! He always told me to not ever get my hopes up for an expensive ring because we aren't rich and there's more important things to spend our money on...blah blah blah... that little liar!
Our wedding is going to be so much fun. We're not trying to make it perfect, just fun. We just want to celebrate our marriage and have all our closest friends and family there, that's what is most important. We don't need something super fancy because that's not us. It's going to be unique to our personalities and untraditional and we cannot wait.
