back from LA
Okay, so I'm back from LA now.
I must say, camp Hollywood was AMAZING. So good. Oh man. I learned so incredibly much. I think my dancing will be able to improve a lot from here, as long as I keep practicing. I'm so excited about that. Oh man.
I'm also really grateful for Matt, who drove us and let us stay at his place. That was sweet of him, not to mention really expensive. Needless to say, I'm gonna be paying this trip off for a while. It was also nice to hang out with Adrienne a bit more, even though I'm pretty sure I drove her nuts. But that's okay. Spending almost a week straight with people, you're all bound to go a little nuts. It wasn't as bad as I expected though, so that's good.
I bought the camp hollywood DVD for swing kids, so that'll be awesome. I know it's not up to me, but I think it'd be awesome to teach swing kids the big apple, because I know I was super excited to learn it (though I still haven't gotten the whole thing down completely yet).
I also got to go on a tour of LA and hollywood, which was neat. I got to see all the big attractions - Universal Studios, the Chinese theatre, various popular clubs and restaurants, downtown LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and my personal favorite, Rodeo Drive. Although it was neat, I realized LA is definitely not for me. Too big, too extravagant...it's like every time I go somewhere else than Seattle, I realize how much more I really love it here.
Anyway, now that I'm back, hopefully I'll go back to work at some point because I'm seriously poor. I need to not buy anything. Yes. This weekend? Work and the Seattle Lindy Exchange or camping with my family. I'm not sure which one. Also, Thursday I go to Whitby Island for my first ever family reunion. That'll prove interesting. We'll see how that goes.
