Ally McBeal iconage

Mainly put this together for posting in a couple communities it may be relevant in, but I figured I may as well post it in my own journal also, as I always do when I actually make any icons, knowing very well that there are no fans of the show on my friends' list. But perhaps you'd like a glimpse of what it's all about? I don't know ( Read more... )

I started watching Ally McBeal maybe in 2007 for a bit (when I was living alone, during the summer)... watched it online though so it was more sporadic than having the series at my immediate disposal. I liked it though, not a bad show at all to get into now that it's 'past'.

Reminds me of the 90's show "Early Edition", the first season of which they happened to re-play on lunch-hour tv when we first moved to nz again (in 2008). Totally got into that, watched it with my mom. Ah, 90's. Now Sam and I are watching BBC's Jonathan Creek (also from the 90's). Northern Exposure's pretty darn awesome as well (we have all the dvd sets but one. lol).

The 1990's just made some really pretty quality hour-long television shows.

I love it's breed of quirkiness and humor. I've always had a feeling I'd like it, but I don't think I'd even have appreciated it as much back then as I do now.

I used to watch Early Edition sometimes and liked it too..don't think I ever saw very much of it though. It didn't strike me as like Ally McBeal however- or did you just mean you associate them since they're 90's shows?

Never heard of Jonathan Creek.

Funny you should mention Northern Exposure, b/c I added that to my netflix queue just the other day..while I was on a quest for shows to watch that could somehow be similar to Ally McBeal. I don't think I'd ever heard of it before the other day.

Yeah, in the 2000's reality t.v. infected the airwaves.

Yeah, that they're both 90's shows. ;) And you know, have the same color palette. lol...

Ally McBeal is pretty INFx-ish, or at least I remember reading that Ally was a sort of iconic INF(j, possibly) in MBTI.

Jonathan Creek's pretty cool, definitely look it up if you sort of like BBC produced stuff. Even despite it being British it's still a good show. Quirky too.

Actually I think being British makes Jonathan Creek better than it would be otherwise. ;)
