Baby Talk
Have you ever had a “baby talk” with your family or friends? I’ve had more than one with both my family and my friends. You might be surprised but I don’t want to have children and even if I wanted to have them, I’d have problems because I have fertility issues. I’ve got my period once/twice a year and my gynecologist says that my uterus is really small and that I should take hormones to regularize my period; I’ll do that soon, I guess. Anyway, if I’ll ever have a baby I already have names: Emma Jane for a girl and Adam Trevor for a boy. Actually, they’re not my favorite names in the world but here in Italy they’re not common and I love how they sound, they’re really nice names according to me. Most of my friends want to have babies and some of them even look at me shocked, like not having a child was a crime. It’s not my fault if I’m that kind of girl who’d put her career over a baby if she had to. A strong and long career is what I want the most and well, getting married comes second to that. That being said, my mom is not really happy about this and she hopes I’ll change my mind. Of course, I’m still young and things might change in the future but I’m really focused on my studies (which will last at least 7/8 more years) and having a family is not really in my plans. What about you, guys? Have you ever thought of having/not having babies? What names would you like to give to your children? :)
