I was checking one of my old email accounts and found this courtesy of an old mailing list I forgot I was still on.
According to this article, The Vampire Diaries might be going to TV.
If it does, I'm totally watching it. It's possibly the last thing I ever expected to possibly get a TV series out of it but it makes sense. I hadn't realized the reprints of L.J. Smith's novels were doing so well but I'm not surprised with how successful Twilight's been.
I'm interested in seeing who they'll cast for the girls, especially Caroline. Matt seems like he'd be easy to cast. Nearly any teenybopper actress could work for Elena though I always pictured her as Sarah Michelle Gellar myself. XD; And Alyson Hannigan as Bonnie. Meredith was always somebody Talisa Soto-ish in my head, just much younger. As for Caroline, she always looked like the bastard child of Charisma Carpenter and Alicia Witt in my head. I imagine Stefan and Damon would be some random hearthrobs. Prince Caspian from the second Narnia movie would make a really good Stefan but alas. XD;
