The interview with
Achewood creator Chris Onstad is at the Onion AV Club
here. What's gotten me really excited is his mention of a Great Outdoor Fight trade paperback that fleshes out the story and legend of the G.O.F. It's one of the best pieces of comic storytelling I've read in a while, and it all starts
here. As he mentions in the interview, all the characters in Achewood are intimately familiar with the G.O.F., allowing for a wealth of material to be included in the expanded edition.
I've also been reading
Ugly Hill as of late. While not the tour de force of Achewood, it makes me laugh out loud more often than not (and I almost never laugh out loud when I read something funny). The artwork is amazingly expressive, utilizing a consistent style and color scheme with quality that matches or surpasses print comics.
