I’d give it a solid B. Why not an A?
Here are my thoughts…
First, the humor of the documentary detracts from the scariness at the end. Bill needed to break out of his genre for this one, I think.
But, I will have to say: the juxtaposition at the end was a brilliant one-one I had never considered before. So yes, it made me see the world in a new way-which is the point of a documentary. I agree wholeheartedly that religion is not only a hindrance to human progress, but that it could be a self-fulfilling prophecy in terms of the end of the world due to nuclear war. Will there be a rapture and “end times?” Sure-if humans create it by letting their penchant for war and greed and hunger for technology (at the cost of art and peace) become so overwhelming that the world kills itself…yup. I could see that happening.
