I'm not going to be in this company anymore. Not that I don't want to be in this company anymore but I just have to...leave. And it makes me more happy than sad.
I love the people here, we've been together for five long years. Back when I was innocent and naive, they were the ones who opened up my eyes and ears to all the sordid realities of this world we live in. They also introduced me to the joys of microwave popcorn and anything reheatable.
They comforted me when I was feeling lonely. When I was hungry they fed me with chocolate cakes and pizza so I would gain weight and be fat. Five years later, I am still skinny but fabulous. I love the word fabulous.
They made me meet the famous and not-so famous and how to learn the art of snubbing a celebrity or politician dropping by. (With the exception of Sharon Cuneta, Piolo Pascual and Manny Pacquiao). I was told to shake hands with the President out of respect.
When I was bored, they also introduced to me the world of bowling, badminton, taebo, mountain hiking, cycling and running. With it I learned how to conquer my fears. Because I've become fearless, I resigned.
Thank you friends from Inquirer for all of this. And goodbye to you. I'm moving on.
