Fic Recommendation
This is an ongoing Bomb Girls story. It's very well written and true to the characters of this period show from Canada.
For those unfamiliar with the story, Bomb Girls takes place during World War I and concerns several characters, mostly women, who work in a bomb factory in Toronto. With the men off fighting, women were given the chance to work in previously unavailable jobs. One of the main characters is Betty, a somewhat tomboyish/butch woman who falls for friend and co-worker Kate, a preacher's daughter who came to Toronto to get away from her father's emotional and physical abuse.
It's a great show, originally a six part miniseries that has been picked up for a 12 part second season.
