Infamia, Part xiv
Xena/Gabrielle
Notes: R rated (I guess) for language and teasingly sexual situations. We're getting there, people. Apologies for any typos; I did this a little bit on the fly. I will fix any I find for the final version of the story.

Great chapter. I'm completely enjoying the way your writing them. Passion, inner turmoil, miscommunication, external conflict & humor are all pitched perfectly.

Thank you so much; I appreciate it. It's been fun to revisit the characters and to take them in a different direction.

Gah! Every time I see that you've posted an update, my heart just makes this bigass jump! I reread your fics regularly and my love for them never lessens.
I love how you paint Xena&the Gabster, loved your epic Meg&Janice and loving this! So please continue being awesome!

I couldn't help but think of Fayed, unable to hold back his tears at Francesca's table after the death of Mel in "Coup de Grace" when I read your description of Apollonius, fighting back tears at the thought of Gabrielle's leaving the great library of Alexandria. God, I love that part of "Coup"! I also like how you've relegated Julius Caesar to a pedestrian and ignominious end in "Infamia"--dead from an infection picked up during an endless campaign in--Gaul, was it? Hey, it could have happened!

And Cleopatra, a bubble-headed material girl--why not?

Thanks for this, Holy One.

Wow, I didn't even make that connection, Jill! I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Or maybe it's just a thing? Hmmmm....

I think Cleo is very smart...surviving the way women have for centuries: With their wits and their twats.

Thank you, as always, my dear. :)
