Oh My Gods. Is it weird that I sorta kinda liked Frank in this (up to a point) in his discussion with Rafe.
No it's not weird. Frank was trying very hard to be the voice of reason. Pre-Otalia, Frank tended to be a pretty decent guy. Jealousy and feeling like a fool does strange things to a personality.
Ashlee needed to be the one to be in the room while that nurse was there.
Elena's a crafty one. She's been waiting and watching for her chance to manipulate Rafe and stir up trouble. Her agenda is distinctly separate from Edmund's.
Rafe needs his ass whupped big time. And he's too dumb to realize he was being played by that nurse.
Rafe is so certain in his belief that Olivia has sinister motives that he will latch on to even the slightest scrap of evidence to support his point of view. He was ripe for the picking.
FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU!! Rafe, that little bitch! He needs to stop believing he is acting like an adult and actually starts acting like one. Attacking a woman is not what a man does, Rafe. Think! God, Rafe has some issues. I mean, he doesn't even think twice about the fact that he is trying to attack a woman. God, Ashley, what you see in him? I don't think he differentiates honestly - man, woman, doesn't matter. When I'm writing him, I think a lot about one of my cats. She's a sweet, tiny little girl cat, and she's exceedingly paranoid. I've been bit or clawed by her a lot over her life, not because she wants to hurt me, but because she strikes out irrationally when she feels threatened. Rafe perceives Olivia as a threat, and he's acting against her instinctively. (This does not excuse his behavior in the least - but it's an explanation of sorts.) As for Ashley, I think she's gotten good at excusing bad behavior in her friends. Wouldn't you, when you had people like Daisy and Grady and Rafe around and mentors like Olivia, Doris, and

You seem to be having a strong reaction toward Rafe. At least, I think that's what you're trying to say.

Thanks! Hopefully the next chapter will be less rage-inducing.
PS. FUCK YOU RAFE.
I'm sorry. I didn't quite hear you. Could you say that again?

Frank has the capacity. He just sometimes forgets to use it.

Boy is definitely overdue for a wakeup call. Though in the world of teenager logic, some of what he's doing makes sense.
Thanks again for the story.
You're welcome! More this weekend, I hope.
