Second: Oh, Buzz. You are beyond awesome. I ♥ you ever so much.
Third: It's sometimes strikes me as strange - if you look at a character outline of Frank, he should be a sympathetic figure. He's had some really crappy stuff happen to him. Abandoned as a kid, left to raise his sister, wife leaves him, two women end up with him not because they especially want him, but because they want to be a part of the Cooper family, etc etc.
And yet, he is not sympathetic. It's all in the details. And you've done a wonderful job of showing these details. unlike the show, which kept telling us he was Good Man, while showing us that he wasn't.
Why the hell not? God knew, being the responsible, honorable, quintessential good guy sure hadn't worked. Instead of being seen as the local hero, he was seen as a fucking joke, a dirty old man leering at young girls who were way out of his league while getting simple coffee orders wrong.Love this. Explains it so clearly why he's not sympathetic, but a putz ( ... )
