Hi there! I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 to make my icons. Apart from that I guess all you need is a little practice. :) Let me know if I can help you with anything. --- Melanie
PS: Gorgeous icon you're using there! Gotta ♥ Anna.
Just a little advice: When you take icons from people, you should mention their user names in the key words when uploading the icon. I don't request credit but others usually do. It's just our way of crediting the icon maker's work. I don't want people to get mad at you.
The Photoshop version I have costs 795$ on www.amazon.com - it's pretty expensive. But I'm sure there are other ways to get the programme. ;)
So how did you get hooked on Anna? I'm a big admirer myself. :)
ooo~ i'm gonna have to do abit of back-traking...i don't remember who's icon's they were....thanks for the heads-up though!
omg! i got hooked on anna when i watched a Marcelo Alvarez video. it was a video of his concert with Anna as a guest. i got interested and looked for more videos of her on Youtube and came across her O Mio Babbino Caro preformance on a German television show. and i was hooked!!! i thought she had a gorgeous voice and a face to match! then i saw her 60minutes interview and i was like...wow~
About the credit: I'm sure the icon makers understand if you didn't know how to credit them so I don't think the back tracking will be necessary. Just now you know and can credit in the future.
I think, I know which performance of "O mio babbino caro" you mean. It's beautiful.
I got hooked on her and Rolando Villazón when they performed together in last year's "La Traviata" here in Austria. Their chemistry is just amazing! Then I saw they would sing in Gounod's "Roméo et Juliette" at the Vienna State Opera and I went to see them twice. My friend winter_plum and I got the chance to talk to Anna after the performances and she is adorable. We almost convinced her to go and have dinner with us. The picture in my and your avatar were taken by us btw. ;)
I guess I can call myself very lucky to live in Vienna and to have a friend like winter_plum who knows when, where and how (and who is willing to sleep in front of the ticket office to get tickets for us). ;) Well, maybe saying we almost had dinner with her is a little bit of an exaggeration but I swear she actually considered to have Spaghetti with us instead of going to dinner with the State Opera director or some other important person in the opera world. She said, "Next time!" though so maybe
