Before I start on my next 'obligatory' ai file, I decided to come here to post a mini Christmas wish list. I have always grown up not knowing what I wanted for my birthday or Christmas (basically, not having a list), and people with actual lists of what they wanted came across as selfish, materialistic people. I'm not sure what's going to happen to that stereotype of mine now that I've decided to come up with a list of my own. I guess I could justify this by saying that hardly anyone ever reads this space anyway. But, nah, I'd rather be a selfish materialist than a bigger hypocrite than I already am. (Haha are you confused yet?)
So my Christmas wishlist:
#1
Wacom Bamboo SplashProbably not a necessity because I don't draw realistically and neither do I draw comics. But I like the fact that it's barely $100 and it's compatible with Mac and PC, and across a variety of softwares. It would help me with my hand drawn ideas that I can't really replicate on my tiny trackpad on my Mac. But, yeah, I could live without it.
#2 Good Headphones/Earpieces
More the latter than the former, because winter is coming and I kinda need to be able to wear my hats. Of course, if I stick with beanies, headphones work fine too. Also, headphones are warmer on the ears(: Right now I'm using my
Urbanears (that are falling apart) which I love because of the Zoundplug that lets two people listen to the same music without an audio splitter. And also for it's great colours. I'm actually just thinking of sticking with Urbanears; they lasted two years and I've noticed the colours are seasonal - so that kind of guarantees that your colour will be pretty unique after awhile. (Like mine now)
#3
Moleskine Sketchbook So I have been using a four dollar sketchbook that I bought from Chinatown and believe it or not (I actually don't believe it) I'm running out of pages! Probably from all my thumbnail sketching and stuff I've done over the past couple of months for MSSA. Anyway, I thought I'd try to adopt the indie artist image of carrying around a well-used Moleskine Sketchbook. The smaller size is obviously more portable, but, I guess I like the idea of space. Yeah, a black 13x21
Watercolour Moleskine would be great because it flips open portrait-wise rather than landscape-wise.
#4
ZARA Man Shopper BagI've tried not to put fashion items on my wishlist, but I've been looking for a tote for awhile now to bring to school and look, yknow, fashionable. Just kidding. Nowadays I use a backpack when I have my laptop, but on my lighter days I use my mum's Christmas present to me a couple of years ago. And yes, it's a men's bag, but it looks great, so I doubt anyone will question me. Also, something more unique/interesting I could maybe possibly perhaps consider is
this. Always wondered how I'd look with one of these, but I guess you never try you never know. The price difference between the two is pretty staggering (or maybe not) but the Zara Man Shopper Bag is made from cow leather, so.
Yeah, that's probably it for my Christmas wishlist(: Whoever's reading this, don't feel obligated at all. Really. Because I think if I really wanted these enough I would just go find ways to earn them on my own(: [And that's supposed to be a good thing, not a I-need-to-prove-I'm-worth-these-things move.]
Cool, have a good one! I shall go look for something to doodle on ai now(:
