Re: Scott Pilgrim | Scott Pilgrim AU | Reserved | 3/? blizaga_kururu March 1 2011, 05:54:59 UTC
Personality: The first important thing about Scott Pilgrim, canon or AU, is that he's... well, an idiot, who tends to bring up videogame conventions in real life. (which does kind-of make sense in his own canon, a tiny bit. but he does it more then needed.) A big idiot, a huge jerk -- but he doesn't seem himself like this. Instead, his self-image is one of an awesome guy, the sort of guy who everybody loves. And this is how we get to see him in canon, mostly.

He's also got a lot of determination inside that mind -- enough to send Simon Lee into a state of bad pain, just for a chance for Kim Pine. And even after he moved away, he still wanted her. And what Scott wants, he fights for it. This is also shown in canon, during the fights with the evil exes. Unlike the canon Scott, however, this Scott doesn't like people helping him killsteal -- such as the vegan police in volume three, or Mr. Chau in volume four. As such, he's a bit more violent then canon, and a tiny bit less of a slacker. This isn't to say he doesn't slack off -- his hobby, videogames, is one of those things which he'll never give up, one of the few constants in his life.

Scott Pilgrim has a semi-'power' to block out memories and paint over his own bad parts, in his own mind -- though his memories are also easily altered by Gideon during canon. And the people he knows in reality were used to this -- and didn't question it. But this changed when Gideon got to Scott, and started to... well, alter his memories, and trap him with him emotions and personal demons for Gideons' benifit (this is known in canon as The Glow) and Scott was starting to grow less open with his emotions. And right now, Scott is still pretty quiet with them, due to still suffering. This related to his facade, his awesome exterior. But it's starting to break, by the time I'm taking him from.

One of the main things about the canon, was the development of Scott and him learning how to better himself. And due to the alterations in his canon, and not defeating NegaScott, he couldn't grow as a person. However, Scott's started to notice oddities in himself -- and as such, he's started to question everything about himself, and that adds to his new emotional weakness.

But he won't be revealing this to other people -- unlike canon, Scott doesn't like talking about himself, and has grown... basically, distant from people. This also grows from his memory problems and Glow Infection, and the fact he's just beaten up his friends due to orders.

Deep down, under all this torment and terrible things... Scott just wants to do what's the right thing, by his own logic. He doesn't always understand the consequences of what he does, and this isn't the best thing, by what you can see of his history and personality.

Abilities:
  • Scott Pilgrim, in 5th Grade, picked up a Longsword Proficiancy. That means he can use a sword as well as he can use his bare fists -- and that's pretty good. He's known as the best fighter in the provence for a reason, and these powers are enhanced from canon, so yeah.
  • He's also shown to have the ability level up -- though these occurances are rare, and seem to be more connected to important events (gaining courage, getting a job, and so fourth) happening then fights. Levels up can score him swords and t-shirts, at the very least, and he may level up in his dreams.
  • It's more a power of the universe, but Scott Pilgrim has a Subspace Highway in his head, which allows quick travel though the world, and Scott tends to use Subspace a lot more now, as well as people going though his head. This won't impact his dreams much -- I'm going to assume Passing isn't travelable like his canon dreams.
  • But Scott also seems to have a mini-hammerspace -- at least, he has a place in his body and soul to draw a sword out anywhere. He also has a 1-up in there somewhere.
  • As well as all of this, Scott can cook. Surprising, I know.
