I never ever thought I would say this, but fuck you Tampa Bay Lightning. Fuck you for being so cheap, fuck you for letting crybaby players get their way for so long before you finally brought in a player that knew how to lead a team to the championship. Fuck you for winning the cup, then stinking up the ice. And finally, fuck you for letting that player go in the middle of the season, without giving him a chance to finish out the year and retire the way a hall of fame player should be able to. You should be kissin the ass that made your financial future secure after a lockout that a lot of fans had to endure, not kicking him out just because he's lost a step, just because he's 42 and cant keep up with some of the younger skaters on the team. This man made that franchise a true contender, not the perennial loser and laughingstock it always was. And they give him the boot in the middle of the season, without letting him go out on top. Absolutely ridiculous.
For those of you who dont know, Dave Andreychuk was my favorite player. He was the guy I emulated, that I based my style of gameplay on. I even wear his jersey, #25. And to see him disrespected by a team, my team, that he did so much for angers me.
I dont even know if I can watch the Lightning anymore.
