All is quiet on New Year's Day. A world in white gets underway. I want to be with you, be with you night and day. Nothing changes on New Year's Day. On New Year's Day.
I... will be with you again. I... will be with you again.
"Slow down my beating heart A man dreams one day to fly A man takes a rocket ship into the skies He lives on a star that's dying in the night And follows in the trail, the scatter of light Turn it on, turn it on, you turn me on"
ya ya ya ya ya ya yayaya livin' it up it's a big kick it's good for you watch the big freeze slip crack the jackpot, get out of control -Go! Tones on Tails
(this is because your subject line said GO!, and now song is forever stuck in my head... which is not a bad thing, i love it :) )
baby baby I'm fallin' in love... fallin' in love again.
** WTF?
You know that soft rock song from the 70s? I don't think I've even thought of that song SINCE the 70s but somehow there it was. I think because prior to your post was a post of someone talking about their husband had helped them through a wretched day yesterday... or, at least, that's the only explanation I can think of!
There's something almost mystical about how song lyrics insinuate themselves in our heads.
I'm a big believer in subconscious processes. While I'm thinking about road conditions, how to handle the next sales call, my back-brain is figuring out my heart. Then those song lyrics come out of my mouth and I think, "where did that come from?"

Do you know this song?
"Slow down my beating heart
A man dreams one day to fly
A man takes a rocket ship into the skies
He lives on a star that's dying in the night
And follows in the trail, the scatter of light
Turn it on, turn it on, you turn me on"

Yet, because they provoke that response, they must be doing something right.
I find that the lyrics I repeat in my head often reflect what's going on in my head: like someone else is trying to tell me something.
Maybe yours is telling you to 'get out of control?'

The dirty little nipper
He packed his ass with broken glass
And circumcised the skipper.
No surprise that your subconscious maps perfectly with your conscious, G.
