Spring Warbling II

Here are some new songs that Tallis sang for me. When she started, I told her 'Hold on!" and ran for paper and pen.  I copied these songs down as faithfully as I could, grammar errors and all! (The song titles, punctuation and stanza breaks are mine.)

Fairy Song I

When I was a fairy
I changed the days.
I made it spring.
I flied with my friends,
And I blocked the sun,
And I singed for everyone. 
I did the sunlight
And I always blocked the sun,
But the sun is in the children's eyes.

Fairy Song II

I have fairy wings,
And I sing for everyone.
And I have dood the summer,
And I bringed out a rainbow.

And I singed for everyone,
And I goed out to play.
And I lighted the children's eyes,
And I always bring a rainbow!
