Yuletide Author letter

Above all: thank you for writing for me! I'm sure I'm going to love it.

You can find my previous yuletide and femslash exchange letters on my LJ here - I only use LJ for the exchanges, basically. Feel free to head over to my tumblr if you want to know more about me.

I'd like to think I'm not that difficult to write for. I love me some explicit sex but don't feel like you have to if you're not comfortable with that: I find well-written UST and more subtle things just as fascinating. Kink and D/s are perfectly welcome. The only real squicks for me are parental incest, scat, and bestiality.  I'm okay with dubcon and even non-con, but only if you write in a well thought out, nuanced way. AU's are fine. Write what you love and know and I'll be happy.

The Hour: Adam/Angus
One of my frustrations with The Hour is that we never learned what happened to Adam Leray, and what exactly was going on between him and Angus. I loved seeing Andrew Scott's Adam come apart under the pressure of constantly having to hide, and his consequent reckless drinking and flirting, and Angus general reaction to it. And I'd love to see more of them: maybe how they first met up? Or the first breaks in their relationship, when things started going awry? Angus and Adam meeting again after the end of the series?
No AU's here, please, because the fact that they're set in an era where homophobia is still a very real danger, where they're constantly afraid of being found out, is a very important factor in their relationship. (Although, if you find a way to take that homophobia to another setting and make it work, be my guest!)

Hellblazer: John Constantine
I'll be honest with you and admit that I've only read City of Demons and Ashes and Dust in the City of Angels. Most of what I know of John Constantine apart from those I've picked up via wikipedia articles, other peoples' metas, and simple popcultural osmosis.
My needs here are pretty simple: I want an explicitly bisexual Constantine. I don't particularly care who you pick as his partner, for that matter. Just give me a Constantine, in character, in all his foul-mouthed Northern-bloke bastard glory, fancying or shagging or reminiscing about shagging a man. (Please don't do it at the cost of devaluating his relationship with women, though.)

Peaky Blinders:Tommy Shelby
There are no words for how much I love Tommy Shelby as a character. I love that he's a ruthless amoral bastard who'll do whatever is needed to survive and to protect his family, I love that he's a cocky little shit who'll laugh in the face of his 'superiors', but I also love that he genuinely cares for his family and his fellow veterans, that he's surprisingly kind to people he thinks deserve it, and I love how good he is at reading people. He's a very complex, fascinating character and I just want to see more of him.
I'm also really fond of the context, of the men having gone off to war and taught how to fight, and how they've taken that knowledge back with them. The PTSD, the class anger... They're all close to my heart.
So, whether you write about pre-war Tommy or during-war Tommy or a character study or anything else, I'll be happy.
(The only thing I wasn't completely happy with was Grace. Their relationship seemed a bit rushed to me, and her characterisation felt a bit lacking to me. If you want to flesh her out a bit more, please do!)

Scott & Bailey: Rachel, Janet, Gill, Julie
Scott & Bailey has some of the most believable, most real female friendships I've ever seen, and it's such a rare thing to find in fiction. Rachel and Janet have just enough of an occasional uneasy edge between them to make their friendship seem that more deep. I love Janet and the support she gives Gill, and Gill and Rachel kind-of mentor-like relationship. Julie Dodson is such a beautiful no-nonsense badass and it's lovely to see her interact with Gill, seeing both women in the same high leadership position...
For fic, feel free to choose just one of them, or two, or three or the whole set of four amazing women. Femslash would be very welcome, if you can pull off a believable setup, but I'd also be happy with friendship and respect or anything between them. Although, like I said, what I really like is that neither of them is 100% fluffy, there's always a tiny bit of nastiness, and that's what makes it interesting to me.
(I haven't seen series 4 yet, so please keep that in mind!)
