Quick update:
Wednesday - had a long day of classes. However, David took me out to dinner that night for my birthday. A late birthday dinner but it was just the two of us so it was really nice. We went to Olive Garden, which seems to be the popular choice now.
That night, went to Catacombs, fun times.
I packed up some stuff for the gig on Thursday, then David and I spent the night at his house since it's closer to Rob's and I had to be up really early to leave for the gig. It was nice to get out of my own room and be somewhere comfortable and a lot more quiet.
Thursday, I got up about 7:15 and got ready. I left David's and met up with the band at Rob's. We drove about 3 and half hours to Fairfax, VA to George Mason University. We had a gig there but it was a joke. It was a waste of time. We got paid, but we played for all of about 10-20 people. It was ridiculous. I was still congested and not feeling so great and my performance was lacking in enthusiasm, well, all of ours was because there wertr few people there and little to no response from the crowd. It was pathetic. It took us 5 and half hours to get back because we hit traffic. It was incredibly frustating and put me in a bad mood the rest of the night.
That night I went bowling with the MoCo crew. It wasn't bad, but my bad mood was still relatively miserable. We went to Denny's afterwards, as usual.
Friday, today, was pretty good. I get up for my spanish class, which is still kinda boring. But, I like my prof and it's an easy class, so I can get through it with little pain. Then I came back and fell slept some more. David and I got up about 1 or so. It was a lazy day, definitely what I needed.
Tonight was the poker tournament up in the HUB. Almost 90 people entered. It was free, so I had nothing to lose. A bunch of us signed up and it was fun. I was actually the only out of us to make it the final table...w00t! haha. However, I didn't do so well there, but oh well. I came in 11th place so I'm happy. I didn't expect to win so coming in that place wasn't bad.
Now I'm sitting around, relaxing..........
