Differences

The 20th is the 20 week mark. This pregnancy has been going really well so far (kind of like Ella's). My allergies are killing me, but no problem. Papaya takes care of any heartburn or morning sickness. I know it could be much worse. With that said, it really is funny the differences.

I felt this child move obnoxiously early like Ella (around 10 weeks there was no denying it), but haven't felt much of anything since. At this point, I guess I expect to feel it all of the time; but usually, I think I might be feeling it, but just can't be sure. It was such a relief at the 16 week checkup that the doctor was able to easily find its heartbeat and that the baby was moving for him at least (even if I couldn't feel it). The doc had to relocate three times to keep up with the little thing and calculated the heart rate at 160 BPM. At 12 weeks it was calculated at 152 BPM.

I just don't understand why I'm not feeling this one. My only two thoughts are
1) That it's just a different child
2) That I stopped holding in my stomach a lot sooner with this new addition. (So there is less firm muscle to feel a baby kick against.)

It's probably both of these as well as a myriad of other reasons. I'm looking forward to this next appointment and seeing for myself what is happening in there.

Rich is desperately trying to find time to look at baby names. He got through part of the "A" names with only one that he liked "Adele". (I'm sure I just butchered it.) This name was on our list last time until Rich started the process of determining how bullies could use it against a girl. All he had to say last time was "Dude, I got Adele" and we were done. This time I think it may stay longer on the list, but who knows what will happen to it in the long run. I still doubt that he'll have looked through one whole name book by the time we find out the gender, but he's proven me wrong in the past.

Well enough rambling, I'd better get back to work.
