Buenos Dias mis amigos!
Good Morning...almost afternoon.
I just sent an e-mail to the hiring lady at KIPP Houston. I lied and told her that I would love to call Houston my home again...LMAO. I would rather die. well...not die, but I would prefer not to call it home. HOWEVER, KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) is a very strange but awesome school system that asks more of kids than most other programs. Their school day starts at 8 and goes till 5. They have to do extra curricular activities and most classroom has a lead teacher and a teaching fellow that assists the teacher and teaches the class about have the time also. I applied to the one here in Austin, but they are a little more picky and want people who have master's degrees and such.
Also, Houston right now might be a really good thing for family. My mom is going through a really rough time and since Nicole is in Foster care my being in Houston would let me be around her as much as they would allow me to. Plus I have 4 girls from my cohort already there and all my high school friends. (I only talk to one...but still). I just don't know if I can leave Austin. Austin is where I want to be, this is where I want to meet my future husband, and this is where I want to raise children (kids or dogs). I don't know that i have a choice anymore. If I get the financial aid job that would be great..but I would still have to find a teaching job because that would pay more and it's closer to what I want to do. Though I plan on going to grad school at UT in the next 3 years and know I will be back in Austin but it's heart breaking just to think of leaving it.
It may not even happen, I am just getting my hopes/fears raised for nothing. I need to just chill out and wait it out.
I don't have much to do today but I don't want to do it.
including: allergy shot, laundry, vacuum, take pups on longer walk, see how much my first months rent will be...
ahhhhh.
on a positive note: Carina facebook messaged me and she is going to come over sunday night around 6 with a bottle of wine and we are going to play board games! :D ayyayayyayyayayyayayayayayayay
