I know it has been a while since I have posted. Slap me!!!
I am happy to report that I have had 3 awesome runs in the mean time. I will include the data for each of them at the bottom but here is the summary of my week.
Run #1- Friday night run with Tim and Steve-
I needed to get in a few miles on Friday so Tim being the awesome friend that he is, offered to run with me. I show up to our run and Steve is there too. So the three of us set off for a new course (The Run Fit Course) and logged about 3.5 miles total. However I am super happy to announce that this was my first run at a 2r/1w interval and I totally rocked it. I am so proud of my self for not doubting my abilities when Tim said "You wanna try a 2/1". So much thanks to Super Steve and Maniac Tim. I had a blast logging a few miles with friends. I must do this more often!
Run #2- Sunday Long run with Kenny
Kenny and I decided that we would do his first long run on Sunday. We had originally set out to run in Warner Robins but instead we ended up in Macon after a short shopping trip. We decided on doing 6 miles and I ran a 2/2 interval while he ran a 1/3 interval. It worked out well because he can cover in 1 minute what I cover in 2 minutes of running.
However, the course was ... shall I say interesting. I decided we should do the Run Fit Course (remember that course I ran only 2 days earlier). Yeah well apparently I took a wrong turn and we ended up in hill city. No friends maybe hills is an understatement... mountain city. This makes my previous complaining about the Tucker route nothing. I am proud to say though that I toughed it out and it was actually enjoyable. Yup that is right... I said Hills were enjoyable. THis is definitely a route I will tackle again. Mountains and all.
Run #3- Lunch run Today
I knew with my schedule this week that I would need to run at lunch this afternoon. I set out for a nice little 5k at a 2/1 interval. I am totally rocking this new interval and I love it. I can't wait to race my first 5K at this pace. Pretty uneventful run but the data looks great!
