for those of you not connected to MTSU anymore...
I know Christy saw my status on Facebook about what was going on at MTSU today, so I thought I would just give some details.
so, this morning I get an email that some people at MTSU had received a threatening email and that if I got one, I should notify them immediately. I found out later that the email said that if classes were not canceled today, Oct. 9, then there would be massive destruction on campus... apparently there weren't many details and the email was only received by about 10-12 people, a couple of which were Deans. ok, so I deleted it because I had not received a threatening email.
Then while I am at work, around 12:30 this afternoon, Tim (guy I work with) asks me if I had been notified about classes being canceled. I had not, we look it up and I found this:loosetncanon.blogspot.com/2008/10/mtsu-receives-credible-threat-cancels.html
than I get an email from MTSU that simply says that classes, as of noon today, are canceled until after fall break because of a "credible threat". (we were off mon and tues of next week anyways, so just today and Friday)
so I call Michael, and he is like, yeah, in the midst of classes they told everyone that shit was canceled... that is all he or the faculty know...

ok, so they received emails but now they are looking for this guy????
I don't get it, then I watch the news and they have a suspect... the TBI and their SWAT teams with automatic rifles are searching the campus... but everything but classes, offices and functions are still on...
so, we can't got o class, but kids can sit like ducks in their little rooms while heavily armed men walk around campus looking for a montrously tall blonde man?!?!
freaky. oh well, I hope it was a prank and I hope they catch the pranksters and that they get in a TON of trouble. little fuckers...
