Random ficlet thingies.
I put up a prompt on tumblr the other day, "Put a ship in my ask box and i'll write a ficlet about them", and now I feel like posting them somewhere else. There are only 4. The first 3 are Huddy and the last is the Doctor & River.
The Game :
“Inconsiderate jerk.”
“Masochistic bitch.”
They were nose to nose, trying to see who would lose their little game first. It was silly. They would lie in bed face to face, flinging insults at each other until one so stupid was said that the other couldn’t help but smile.
“Lint licker.”
“Lint licker? Really? You and I both know that what I lick isn’t lint.”
“Shut up and go.”
“Bitch tits.”
She smiled first. She always smiled first.
“You lost.”
“Thank you Captain obvious. We’re both aware of the fact that I lost.”
“You always lose.”
“Not always.”
“Yes always.”
“No. I know one thing I won and you lost.” “Oh really? And what would that be?”
“Your heart.”
Her arms had found their way around his neck and he looked down at her, trying to hide his smile.
“You’re smiling.” She said pressing her lips against his. “You lose.”
Day off :
“House, come on let go! I have to go to work. We have to go to work.”
“We are not going anywhere.” He grabbed her waist as she attempted to climb out of bed, pressing her back against his chest.
“House…”
“Cuddy.”
“Let go.”
“No.” She sighed, trying to loosen herself from his grasp once more. She wiggled against him and his grip tightened around her. At this point they were so close together their noses were almost touching.
“Give up yet?” He asked kissing her neck.
She sighed, relaxing herself against him. “Yeah, I give up.”
The Walk :
Their fingers intertwined as they strolled around the block, side by side. It was something they did in order to relax, if it were even possible for two people like them to relax. It was something they did that involved no words, just the comfort of having someone else to enjoy being with. She leaned her head against his shoulder. They had only been together for a little over a month and this was something that had already become a part of their routine.
They were nearing the hospital, having decided to take a walk after having lunch together. She sighed.
“What’s wrong?”
“It was so peaceful out here, just us… No buzz of a busy hospital, or work.”
“Yeah, well get that well toned ass of yours back inside, and we can have a little peace and quiet at my place tonight. How’s that sound?” He smacked her ass, smirking as she stumbled forward. She glared at him for a moment before she responding.
“It sounds good.”
I Missed You :
“Hello Sweetie.”
He turned away from the controls of the TARDIS and looked over at her. She was standing at the door, snow in her hair from the light flurries falling outside. He had no idea where in her timeline they were. In his timeline they had already been ‘married’ for several months. He studied her for a moment as she strode towards him, a smile on her face, her eyes bright.
“I missed you.” She leaned forward and pressed her lips against his. His arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her close.
“I missed you too.”
