Yes, life goes on.
Two strange incidents involving the mother today.
A:
Scene: Ali and her mother are looking for prom jewelery amist the collection her mother has. Her mother is placing different necklaces around Ali's neck while Ali is tenaciously trying to keep her recent hicky covered. However, despite this attempt, her mother gets a FAB view of the beast, POKES IT, and mutters, "No more of this, okay?" Little does she know that this was the first one she has seen out of the many that I've had.
B:
Scene: Ali is sitting at the computer debating whether or not she should clean her room. Unexpectiadly, her mother comes to her door and asks what Mr. David is up to tonight. Ali promptly responds by telling her that he is hanging out at the beach slash hanging out down town because one of his friends is home from a rehab type thing.
Taken back, she responds, "Which kid is this?"
Ali tilts her head and looks her mother in the eyes, "No names necessary."
"Well, is he graduating?"
"Yes."
"Oh, I hope David stays out of those things. And I know you hope that too."
Ali shifts her eyes towards the floor, subconciously, and nods, which was probably the worst thing she could have done.
