So, today I went in for a check up with the oral surgeon guy to make sure that the cuts were healing. Since I could feel a few stitches, I also assumed that they would remove them. And then let me go....
What really happened:
I walked into the room with the evil chair where I had my wisdom teeth removed. The nurse told me to lay back and that she was just checking to make sure there weren't any infections and such.... So she starts poking around. Kinda hurt. Then she told me that she was going to wash out the wounds and that I would have to do this for another week or so. I thought that this seemed normal. Of course clean wounds are good and infection bad. I get it. She fills up this huge eyedropper thing with warm salt water and proceeds to push it into the wound as far as she can so that she can flush all the bad stuff out. Well, I thought I was doing a good job rinsing and all, but when she told me to spit out into the cup...... so much blood it wasn't even funny. She did this procedure to both of the bottom cuts. Then handed me a bag with my very own freaky eyedropper thing. Needless to say, I was not happy. Then the oral surgeon walks in and wonders why I don't want to talk or even open my mouth.
So not using the eyedropper thing. The nurse said that I should use it until my would heals, but it almost seems silly to do that since I am supposed to practically reopen the wound every time.
Ah, well. Probably just overreacting, but I thought that my mouth was close to healed until the nurse was able to make me bleed so much today. Sick people..... (I guess they are just doing their jobs though).
