thank goodness for day light savings. otherwise, i would've been in bed till 1:30 instead of 12:30... which may be depressing. im not sure.
yesterday, bbg and i went to santa clara for my cousin lyra's 11th bday celebration. about 2 hours of travel for 1.5 hours of celebration. it was good to see the family, if only for a short amount of time. got lotsa stuff in exchange, tho: cash monies, a bag full of organic fuji apples and a bag full of persimmons. oh, and a kitchen table with four chairs. the table was a bitch to move in bec it barely fit through the apartment's doors. took a lot of thinking to get it in the kitchen. but worth the effort, i think. woot.
this week is parent/teacher conference week, which means kids get out of school about an hour early. what does this mean for the after school program, you wonder? do we start an hour early and end an hour early? nope. we do an extra hour of program! the week has been aptly named "super fun week" and promises to be super fun and super tiring. wheeeeeeeeeeee.
having a hs assistant is cool. she helps me... a lot.
uhh.... time to pretend i dont live on an americorps paycheck and go shopping.
