b texted me the other day saying "im going to dinner with my fam.
they're coming at 5:30 so i assume you'll be with your true love. see
ya after." true love = daily cal. sadly, i was at work so i couldnt go
to dinner with them...
today i had two debates with b: one on how i thought the minuteman project is retarded and he wasnt as enthusiastically against it. two, on the daily cal and its lack of diversity and how we should change that. i won the last one, which is nice. current tally: L - 1, b - 0. but the low count for both of us only reflects how stubborn we are. but man, am i intellectually drained. now i must write a paper... on abortion... that ive been doing since friday... blah.
i like how kelle posted on her xanga mere minutes before i wrote that open letter to her. she posted at 1:04am, i posted at 1:09. just goes to show we're still bullemic with each other.
in class we studied cryptomnesia, which is when you think one of your original thoughts is your own but it really isnt. the prof used the example of george harrison's "oh my lord" case. harrison thought he wrote the entire thing himself, but the people that wrote the shirelles' "he's so fine" said otherwise. in the end, experts said they were the same and harrison had to give up 3/4ths of his royalties to the other song writers. i bring this up bec "he's so fine" has been stuck in my head all day as a result of this lecture. and i think given the choice between the two songs, i'd pick the shirelles... sorry pat.
