It seems that my work life has been a bit time consuming. But not to worry, I've realized this and will try harder to not be steered away from having a personal life.
So happy new year! Let's look at my resolutions and see if i managed to keep any of them at all. Last year around this time i wrote that i wanted to:
1. eat more calcium, my doctor said so.
2. exercise. regularly. i was doing that, but then stopped once i started working since, eh, kids are exercise enough...?
3. eat healthier. more fruits and veggies. i might be getting scurvvy.
4. exercise my creativity. bec i think im losing it.
let's see.
resolution #1: I made a pretty good effort the first six months of the year or so. I took calcium vitamins daily and generally got back into the habit of eating yogurt. also, i ate lots of chocolate, so there you go. i'd say i was 80% successful on this one.
resolution #2: failed miserably. well, i did ok, again, in the beginning of the year. but after summer, i pretty much threw it out the window. got busy with the new jobbie, that's my excuse.
resolution #3: this sort of happened. i def ate more salads and discovered my profound love for humus and fresh veggies. still ate out a lot. let's say we did ok on that one.
resolution #4: sort of. i dabbled (terribly) with art for a bit, but really became shy about any attempts. i wrote a bit with a new blog, but i got distracted in the last couple months of the year. i came up with a lot of great lies, though. so...... yeah.
ok, so resolutions suck, but that's ok, doesnt stop me from trying. with that, my 2008 resolutions, in no particular order:
1. write more. revive this thing and my food blog.
2. cook more at home. now that i have money and am no longer on food stamps, i could probably afford this.
3. save money. should go hand in hand with resolution #2. no particular reason as to why, maybe just an excuse to be the frugal bitch that i am. i also need to limit my shopping online, bec that's starting to get out of hand too.
4. no mental or emotional break downs. stress tends to get pretty high, so i think it'd be best to monitor that. this semester looks to be pretty busy, so let's try to manage that anxiety that typically looms over me.
alright. there you go.
lastly, i got a new phone! feel free to call it. my kids tell me it's a pretty cool phone, so i did a good job.
