I'm a little sad that the trip is over. This time last week I was already off work preparing for my leave the next day. It was, so far, the best bachelorette party I have been to. And I threw it! :)
I didn't go to sleep until almost 1 AM last thursday night. It was cute, Marley kept checking on me as if to say "is it bedtime yet?". I woke up at 6am on Friday which gave me an hour and 45 minutes to do what I needed to do and load my car. I wante to leave by 7:45 to pick up Rashelle (one of the other MOH) since she was flying into LAX to drive with me. I pretty much left on time, and only had to circle LAX once before she was out on the curb.
It took a long time before it felt like we were on our way to Havasu. First we stopped to eat, then about 30 minutes later we stopped at Party City which took almost 45 minutes becuase the line was super long. Then had to go to 7-11 for coffee and ice. We finally got there about 5:15 and STILL had to go to the super market to pick up a few items.
When we got to the house, I already had the code for the lock. Instead of a key, it was a keypad where you put in the code. Liz got there shortly after we arrived, which was a nice surprise. I wasn't expecting her until the evening. She took the day off and had gotten there around noon so she layed out by the lake until we got there. We took awhile to decorate and setup, but finished around 7pm. Since Crystal knew she would be too anxious to wait, she booked her flight from San Jose to Vegas to land at 8:30 AM. There they rented a car and got to Havasu about 1. But She had her friend Sarah with her, and Sarah knew she needed to keep Crystal occupied... which means... shopping! Crystal is worse than I am when it comes to shopping lol. ANYWAY, she got a lot of stuff and blames me, but is happy with her purchases.
Friday we just drank and played a few games. Crystal got super wasted. I was the first to go to bed (at 2:30 AM) and woke up at 4 and again at 5 to Crystal being in the bath tub. At 5 I went in to check on her and she was fine. She was sleeping in the tub (water lever was only half. At about 6 am she got into the king size bed we were sharing in the master. I woke up about 6:30 and she was still awake so we talked for about an hour before we both fell asleep. At 10am I awoke to the smell of cooked bacon. Liz came into the room and gave me a piece. I had never had bacon brought to me in bed before... score!
Round 12:30 we were all ready and went to the Nautical Resort to check out some bar called "Turtle Beach Bar". It was cool, and we layed on the grass near the lake becuase the sand was SUPER hot. The resort pool reminded me of Vegas because it had a DJ, a bar, cabanas ect. We found out that you don't have to be a guest of the hotel, just over 21. I figured it's because they'd make a lot more money from drink purchases. So we went and found some lounge chairs. It wasn't nearly as crowded as Vegas pool parties, but still had a good amount of people.
We were at the pool for about 4 hours. We took turns going knee boarding which was fun. FInally, around 6:30 we were hungry and tired from all the sun. I made sure to wear my SPF 100 sport sun block and half the time I was somewhat in shade so I wasn't too bad.
After we ate and napped, we all got ready and by 11 we took an Uber to this beach club called Kokomo's. The club was so much fun. it was all outisde, and 3 levels. The top level was just a bunch of seating and a bar, middle level was more seating and the dance floor with the DJ. The bottom level had a pool with a vollyball net and off to the side was a lifesize beer pong. They used red trash cans as the cups and a vollyball as the ball. So much fun!! The drinks weren't expensive either. It was about $7 for an absolute press.
We were at the club until it closed at 2am and headed back to hang out. Again, I was the first to pass out and it was 3:30AM.
This entry is long enough. I will update in my next entry the rest.
