(no subject)
Imagine my surprise when my mother bursts into my room this morning with "your grandmother was hit by a car". Not exactly the way you wanna start your sunday morning...
Thankfully, she's ok. Just scrapes and bruises mostly. Her leg is swollen but luckily there were no fractures or anything. Apparantly the light was about to change and she started crossing too soon, so the car caught her in the leg as it was slowing up. By the time i threw on clothes and ran down to where it happened, the ambulance had already taken her to the emergency room. She's supposed to have a Hysterectomy next week, so the only concern at that point was whether or not she'd still be able to make that appointment, which she will. By 4 o'clock she was laying down on her couch watching baseball.
My grandmother is the toughest lady i know.
