Ok i know it's been forever since I've updated but life in LA is just so fast paced I can hardly keep up.
First of all, I'm an idiot and have packed away my cord to my digital cam and can't find it..so pictures are going to have to wait. I do think the photographer at BoyBar in Long Beach took my picture serveral times for their website, but they haven't been posted yet...I'll let you know.
Ok here's the skinny on what I've been doing:
thursday Got to town at 5:30 p.m. and directly went out with Brandi (my friend from IU that I'm staying with) and her fun and beautiful roommate Jenny to a bachelor party. We went bowling, got drunk, ate a lot and then headed over to Oil Can Harry's for gay country line dancing. I met a lot of fun people. One was a guy named Jason that's a 2nd grade teacher and use to be a ballet dancer....very cute and super fun.
friday Brandi took me out to lunch to a place called Birds. Then she and I and her roommate Jenny went swimming at this guy's place (can't remember his name now) that she's apt sitting for. He's the host of the TV show "Making of the Band" on VH1. Right now he's in London, so we get access to his apt and pool for a month. After that we grabbed something to eat and then headed back to the apt. Both girls got ready for the concert Zero 7 and i waited for my friend Johnathan to show up to take me to BoyBar in Long Beach. Johnathan works as a stripper there. It was a blast. There was a long line waiting to get in, but Johnathan and I just walked right up to the bouncer and he waved us through. THen, since I was with johnathan, I got drink tickets so I wouldn't have to pay for my own drinks that night. I'll post the website to BoyBar as soon as they post the pictures from that night.
saturday Brandi and Jenny took me to FatBurger for lunch, then we all went for a hike up Runyon Canyon Park. This was like no other park I had ever seen. I got a great view of the city from the top of the mountain and got to see the Hollywood sign for the first time. Lots of beautiful boys walk their dogs there too...hehe After that my friend Ted came by to take me to Bally Total Fitness to work out. And later that night we went to eat at California Pizza Kitchen near the famous Chinese Theater and then we went out in WeHo (west hollywood) to go club hopping. We hit The Abbey, Mother Load, Here, and Rage. I really enjoyed The Abbey. Best bar I've ever been too. It was just huge and very stylish. That night was odd. I got hit on for not one but two three ways.....got invited to a Gay Pride Party....ran into a guy that noticed me from working out earlier that day (and he was HOT)...and the funniest thing was I talked to a guy that says he is on the 8th season of Charmed. His name is Eddie Moulano. I'm not putting much weight into anything people are telling me right now. But he asked for my number, called me the next day and wants me to go to this birthday party.
sunday I woke up with a hang out sunday and got up late. So did the girls. We went out to eat and then got ready for a dinner party. We went to watch the Lakers game and the final episode of the season for the Sapronos at their friend Mandy's house. Mandy was super fun and the interesting thing about her is she's a quadra plegic (sp?). She was in an assistant with her parents at 16...she was the only one to survive. A picture of the site where the accident happens hangs over her fireplace.
monday The girls went to work and I job hunted all day. After they got home, my friend Ted came over and we went to work out....I bought a 3 yr membership and a personal trainer. Then that night ted and I decided to go to the visitation for Ronald Reagan. We were going to go at 3 a.m. thinking no one was going to be there then, but then he thought even at 10 pm. we'd be fine. He was WAY WRONG...but even at 3 a.m. he would have been wrong.
We drove 40 miles to Simi Valley. Waiting in traffic for 6 hours.
Finally parked the car at 4 a.m. and waited in line for about an hour and a half of which the wait in line JUST to get on the bus to go to the Reagan Library was 9 hours long.
At 5:30 am. we decided to leave cause he had to work and i had to see my trainer at 9 a.m.
It was all so surreal though being there. People were lined up further than you could see. People were sleeping on the streets. The red cross was there to give out water. The ambulance was there just an incase people, well couldn't make it.
So that's been my week so far in LA....very busy!
Sorry for the late and long post. I'll try to be more timely and have pictures next time of course.
