Huh. All this time I'd been assuming that a scotch egg would be just an egg pickled in scotch or somesuch. I mean, it's there in the name, right?

I didn't realize it would be something -delicious-.

Now I'll have to find and try one.

They are not astoundingly difficult to make!

Though as an eater of what you saw, I will state that I'm thinking this is one of those incredibly simple dishes that could be tarted up in a number of different ways.

Like say, the use of spices. :)
