(no subject)
i am getting used to starbucks. i have crappy days, and better days. most of my co-workers are really awesome. a couple just left/are leaving. i somehow am spending way too much money every month, though. i sat down and added up how much i should be spending every month, making reasonable adjustments for food, personals, and clothes, and then subtracted that from how much i earn a month, and found like a $500 difference... which meeeeans, i should be saving about $500/month, or using $500 a month worth of "unexpecteds". i know i spend about $100 more than i included for food (at least $100 more....) and i have been spending a lot more on personal products lately, and have spent money on the house and a little on my car, but still... i don't know how to account for $300+ and where it is going.
so, i will be saving money starting asap. i bought a $25 toaster oven and returned it already, i bought a $30 piece of wall art and am considering returning that as well, and $15 worth of clothes that i'm pretty sure i talked myself into buying because they were on sale for a really good deal, and i don't really even like and/or need that much. it's crap like that that i do every month without thinking, and just there i've got $70! i just tell myself that if i am going to need it eventually i should just go ahead and buy it, but i need to stop thinking like that before winter comes and bills get higher. and in case something comes up with my car.
anyway, otherwise, things are still just going. no news on a teaching job. august is here already. now my chance is to hear of something from vancouver right before/right during the start of the school year. i finally sent in my oregon teaching certificate application on wednesday. i wish i would have had it done over 2 weeks ago. i could finish my application for portland, and have yet to do so. i will need to say that my certificate is "in process" but i can still get it done and start applying for jobs. too bad i don't want to teach middle school or high school math or science, or special ed.
