Guess who's back, back again... its me!!!

Yes I have returned from sunnier climes (although, according to the news, the UK has had a heat wave whilst I was gone, making it about the same temperature as Tenerife).
I have enough tan to give me tan lines, although the tan is slightly pinkish and I would still be classed as pale (I burn, really easily, so I wear sunblock, and go home only slightly less pale than when I arrived, but still).
For the record, the Canary Islands definately come in a close second on my list f favourite holiday destinations (first is Western Canada, Victoria in particular).
If anyone gets a chance to visit Tenerife, then take a trip up Mount Teide, its amazing. It's an active volcanco and the peak is above the cloud level, it has snow and everything, which is impressive when you think that its in line with the Sahara desert.
Loro Parque was also fun, they have both a dolphin show and an Orca show, which were great, and lots of parrots. Over 4000.
We stayed in a hotel which was right on the sea shore (one of the H10 chain). My sister was sick a couple of days (nothing bad, she just couldn't keep down anything but bread and bananas), and my brother, when going down some steps so he could reach the surface of a swimming pool to test the temperature, misjudged how many steps were covered in water, and stepped into the pool, up to his calf, whilst wearing jeans and trainers. We laughed, a lot.

Teide

We recorded Life on Mars, Dr Who, House and Any Dream Will Do whilst we were away (thank god for Sky+). Watched House and ADWD last night.
House was brilliant as always (the one with the euthansia issues), I do wonder what it means for Chase that he was the only Duckling who stayed in the room when they thought House was injecting the guy with morphine. And for Cameron that she did what she did at the end.
ADWD - they have finally got through the initial audition stages. Some guys I liked didn't get through, but of the ones who did, I like them all and I think they all deserve to be there.

LoM and Dr Who I will watch either tonight or tomorrow, I have religiously avoided spoilers for both whilst reading the last weeks worth of friends posts and I'm really excited about the LoM finale.

In related news, they said on the news on Radio 1 (which is usually reliable when it comes to BBC shows) that there will be a LoM spin off staring Gene Hunt, set in the 80s :D

tv: other shows, holiday: abroad
