frustrated

So I am in the process of looking for a new job. Megan and I have pretty much decided we want to move to the Beloit area in the very near future. Month to month or six month lease would be ideal. Obviously it isn't long term, but it gets us out of our parent's houses, gets us out of our crappy paying jobs, and gets me closer to my boyfriend.

So I have been looking for a while, but since I got laid off, I am trying a little harder. But job searching sucks. Granted, I am pretty damn picky and really have no clue what I want to do, but pretty much everything I come across sounds boring or complicated. What makes me really mad is that every newspaper is now in cahoots with careerbuilder, monster, hotjobs, or some other major job site. I used to be able to find jobs actually posted in the classifieds that were never posted on those big sites. But now, I can no longer rely on the newspaper for these jobs. Instead, I am redirected to the same three or four sites all the time, which greatly limits my options. And no, not every employer posts jobs through these sites.

Also, I am incredibly tired of looking at nationwide and work from home listings, a majority of which are scams. I think these fancy job sites should block these places from posting. It is annoying.

Finally, I hate that people make jobs sound so complicated and fancy. Instead of writing job descriptions in a way that makes people say "oh, I could do that!" they choose to write them in such a way that no one can even understand what any of it means. They use company-specific jargon which leaves me baffled as to what the job even entails.

So basically, I am frustrated. Never mind that the job market sucks to begin with, let's make it even more difficult to find work. Jerks.
