Binding

Ok, so I know people have posted similar questions regarding advice on binding, but I have a very specific question.  My partner has a binder from undergear (very common binder) but he is very large chested, and has a very broad shoulders.  The binder is not giving the results desired, which is unfortuneate because it was purchased due to the ( Read more... )

I used the underworks binders - started with the one that snaps in the front, then after about 6 months I switched to the closed-front one for more compression. I'm not broad shouldered, but I was big chested - 44DD when I started binding. I wore a sports bra under the binder to help get the compression started (and to keep my nipples from being irritated by the binder), then put a men's tank top on over that, *then* the binder, then a white t-shirt, then whatever shirt I was wearing, in either a 2x or 3x. Baggy was the key. 44DDs were awfully hard to hide, and most of the time, looking in the mirror, *I* could still see them, but it was the best I could do until I had surgery. I eventually dropped the tank top between the sports bra and binder, but most of the time still wore a t-shirt between the binder and whatever other shirt I wore (even if it was another t-shirt). That was no fun in the summertime, let me tell you! Sometimes you just gotta make do with what you've got, you know? Having top surgery was the best possible thing for me. Between that and losing weight, I went from wearing a 2x or 3x in men's shirts, and am now down to a regular men's M or L. I had to get rid of all my old shirts because they were simply too big for me to wear anymore.
