[And it doesn't take long for Nero to show up, the kitten held firmly yet gently in his Bringer, the heat from the limb at least keeping it warm.

He walks up to Shiki, holding his hands out to present it just a tad awkwardly. The kitten meows, purrs, whines and coos. You can tell just by his reaction to it that he has little experience with cute, delicate things.]

Here Shiki, work your magic. Maybe it'll stop crying when it's dry.

[She had two towels hanging from her shoulders. She removes one of them and takes the kitten gingerly into her arms. It purrs, nuzzling into the warmth.]

Awww... C'mere. I'll bring it to the counter, okay?

[Shiki places the little thing on top of said counter, carefully putting the towel and kitten down. Gently working her way into drying the kitty, careful not to do it so roughly.]

[Let the cooing and baby talk begin.]
