How is this even enforcable?

If I'm a street level LEO in Arizona I'm supposed to now be able to approach anyone that I might suspect of being in the United States illegally and ask for proof of American Citizenship or legal resident alien status.

The problem comes from the fact that if I do so I'm liable to be sued for Racial Profiling which has been found to be illegal according to U.S. legal precedent.

If I'm a smart LEO I'm going to ignore this new law to save myself a hell of a lot of hassle in the long run.

*LEO stands for Law Enforcement Officer and while it applies to everyone enforcing the law from the federal level on down it's generally used as a term by the feds to identify the town, council, or state officers that handle the bulk of street level enforcement.
