Bitter, Bitter Cold
Holy cow. I thought yesterday was bad.... today is clearly worse than yesterday. Single digits this morning with wind chills which i'm quite sure were below that zero mark. The lake was steaming this morning. Although it's quite the pretty sight, it just means that it's really really cold. That's really all it means. Lake steaming = don't go outside without your long johns. And it's sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. Sunny skies in winter = don't go outside without your long johns. Normally, anyway.
I've got a CPR class tonight from 4 - 8 pm. Had I remembered this before I left today, I would have taken the train. I drove as I didn't want to face those nasty winds, but now, since I will be exiting the parking structure after 7pm, I will be paying a whopping $18.00 for one days worth of parking. Such a huge rip off. Perhaps I'll have the company pick this one up.
My co-worker is not in today. Apparently her son has pink eye. Ouch. Not a fun thing to have. The rockstar thing about her not being here is I finally get one day without having to hear holiday music all day long. It's getting a bit insane. I have to hear Mariah Carey sing that note that only dogs can hear one more time, I may smash her crappy battery-powered radio. Not really, but it's nice to think about anyway.
And now I'm hungry.
