Well- this place isn't quite so confusing any longer. The curses, from what I've seen of them aren't entirely unbearable and the people here, for the most part, are quite charming. Easier to get along with than some of the other students back at Hogwarts as I remember.
The snow was nice while it lasted though. Almost reminded me of home, but I suppose- that doesn't really matter. In any case, it isn't hard to keep busy. I don't think I've really been alone since I've arrived, but it's nice if only for a short while. I made a trip to the library this morning and it was bigger than I'd imagined, quite a few copies of Austen's books.
