Why is it that I keep encountering advertisements for the movie Horton Hears a Who? I've seen online ads, I've seen it in the paper, I've seen posters, I even inexplicably received an e-mail from 20th Century Fox telling all about Horton Hears a Who!
Am I in the movie's target demographic? When they made this movie, did people in suits sitting around a conference table picture people like me as the type of person to go see this movie? WHY?
I don't CARE if it's based on a Dr. Seuss book! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT! *pounds fist on the table*
ANYWAYS, sorry for the pointless ranting. It's just that sometimes marketing has the opposite effect it's supposed to, you know? Or maybe I'm just rapidly becoming a grouchy old fart. It's probably one or the other.
