Cracked slab
Val and I got up this morning and cleaned out the garage. It took us about 4 hours to get everything out of it and piled up in the driveway.
I even pulled up the carpet the previous homeowners had left in the garage.
That's when I discovered that the carpet and an office chair mat were covering up a crack in the slab that water was slowly seeping up through. It's actually a small network of cracks extending 8 or 10 feet across the garage.
It doesn't look like a critical emergency thing, but it sure puts a damper on selling the house and moving farther north.
I sort of wish I hadn't plunked down money on a TV, Wii and PS3 over the last month. Also, the car repairs on the jeep this week were not the greatest timing. It's sort of like last June, in that I spent stuff on fun and then ran into other big expenses at the same time. I love how that works out.
